New member Brian Coleman arranged for RMOC to have a booth at the Denver Area Council's annual Scout Show at the National Western Complex. This event typically attracts as many as 12,000 attendees. Since there's a Boy Scout Merit Badge for Orienteering, Brian figured the Scout Show would be a good venue to promote RMOC and the sport of orienteering to a large audience.
Brian set up a display constructed by Tina Litasi, which included compasses, map symbols, and orienteering maps from around the world.
Brooke Mann and Michael Rounds helped staff the booth, answering questions and handing out RMOC fliers.
